Gordon The Big Engine
Gordon is a big blue express engine. He, like Henry and Edward, was one of the first steam engines on the tracks of Sodor. He is a very fast, very proud engine, and feels himself too good to pull trucks and will seldom do so, but this high-and-mighty attitude seems to have mellowed with age. He always feels better than everyone else, but will always help a friend in need, as he does have a very kind side. He thought Pumpkin coming to Sodor preposterous, and was even crosser when Alaska arrived and started taking his passengers. Since, he has grown to respect Pumpkin, but still holds a deep-seated grudge for Alaska. He is good friends with Adam. Gordon is based on a pre-production London and North Eastern Railway A1\A3 4-6-2 with Fowler Tender circa 1922.
