Pumpkin The Pacific Engine
Pumpkin, so nicknamed becauseof his paintjob, is a scrappy young diesel engine who came to the Island of Sodor in it's darkest hour. He came to help keep the railway economy from crashing when business was low and he was the first American diesel to ever arrive on the Island. As such, he wasn't liked by any of the engines, but he couldn't leave because he had no home in America. With patience from the others, he saved the Island from certain doom, and he is now considered a hero by the other engines. Pumpkin is happy-go-lucky and sometimes silly, but he always gets his work done and won't hesitate to make his opinions known. Pumpkin is based on a Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railroad GP40X B-B #3035 circa 1977.
